How a home station works

Rooftop panels produce direct current, and the inverter converts it to alternating current. The house uses its own solar power first and draws the shortfall from the grid in the evening or on cloudy days.

An on-grid station works together with the grid. How energy exported to the grid is accounted for depends on current rules and on how the meter is connected. The engineer will go through this during the site assessment.

A hybrid station adds a battery. It stores energy and, if this is part of the design, can power selected circuits of the house during a grid outage.

  • Armenian-made LA SOLAR panels: LS550BF, LS620BF and LS710BF models
  • Solis hybrid inverters: single-phase EH1P at 3, 5 and 6 kW, three-phase RHI-3P at 5–10 kW
  • Soluna 3P10K and 3P15K high-voltage battery systems

What a home station includes

We select a compatible set for your roof, grid connection and consumption.

01

Solar panels

LA SOLAR modules. We calculate the number of panels and the layout from roof area, pitch, orientation and shading.

02

Solis inverter

On-grid or hybrid, single-phase or three-phase. Chosen to match your supply and load.

03

Mounting and cabling

A structure for your roof type, PV cable, connectors, protection and earthing.

04

Connection and monitoring

The connection and metering scheme is set in the design. Output can be viewed online.

How a station gets onto your roof

  1. Site assessment

The engineer checks the roof, the distribution board, the supply and the household consumption.

  2. Design and quotation

We select capacity, inverter and a battery if needed, and agree on the total cost.

  3. Installation and connection

Scope, timing and responsibilities are recorded in the contract.

  4. Launch and service

We show you how to track output and discuss maintenance and panel cleaning.

Common questions about home stations

Do I need to rewire my house?

An engineer checks wiring, protection and allowed loads. Changes and meter connection are determined after assessment.

Will I have power during a grid outage?

An on-grid station without a battery shuts down when the grid goes off. To keep power during outages, the house needs a hybrid system with a battery. Which circuits it powers and for how long is calculated from the load.

Does it work on cloudy days and at night?

Output depends on light. It drops in cloud, is close to zero in fog, and stops at night, when the house draws from the grid or the battery.

How much roof space do I need?

It depends on capacity and panel model. The calculator gives a first estimate; the engineer prepares the exact layout with clearances and shading after assessment.

Can I add panels or a battery later?

Expansion requires checking the inverter, circuits, free space and grid connection. Discuss future demand during design.

How do I look after the panels?

Follow manufacturer instructions. Do not access the roof without training or wash hot modules. Use a service crew for cleaning and snow removal when needed.
